|
|
I've just upgraded to 1.6.5 on both my TB! and Voyager setups. For some reason both the Chart and Table in the TB! version are now showing zero for all details although the log is still complete. Voyager, however, is displaying the Chart/Table with all details as from the 1.6.4 installation.
I know this must be totally my fault but what can I possibly have done in the upgrade to loose the Chart settings?
OK, it's not earth shatteringly important as I still have the log to view, but I'd just like to know what I've done wrong so that I don't do it again. I did just do a simple install over the original in both versions so it's strange.
So glad to see, from another post, that we will soon be able to sort the log columns. I was about to write a wish for that when I read the post and your response.

There are no changes in 1.6.5 that could be a reason for zeroing the statistics. I guess that the contents of the configuration file with the statistics was broken earlier (e.g. due to reason that is already fixed in 1.6.5). The plug-in re-creates the broken data by resetting the contents to default values, i.e. zeroes in case if statistics. If you didn't reset the statistics manually, then it is the most probable reason in the described case. |

OK, thanks. It wasn't earth shatteringly important and I was just curious as to why it happened.

Very strange. I've just downloaded 1.6.7.2 and exactly the same thing has happened. The log file is still there (thank you very much for making the columns sortable) but no statisitcs. However the Voyager version downloaded and installed perfectly and has kept the statisitics.
I was also, as with version 1.6.5, asked for my registration details with the desktop TB! version but not with Voyger.

Yes, I think I'm very much in the minority here.
I just can't understand why my Voyager installation is fine but TB! throws a wobbly at me. Ah well.

I guess that you have installed the plug-in to its base directory. Please, install the plug-in to the different folder. The installation package contains several files with the same names as configuration files from base directory. The statistics, options, rules, classification database - you lost that data after installing a new version, because the correspondent files were rewritten by their templates with the default values from installation package.
I'm sorry that it wasn't explicitly stated in manual that the base and installation folders must be different. The template files in next versions will have different names to prevent overwriting and it will be possible to install everything to the same folder. |

Yes, I did although I changed the directory name to "AntispamSniper" in both The Bat! and Voyager. It's strange that I did exactly the same install with both programmes and yet I only lost the chart in The Bat! whereas Voyager showes everything fine

That's good, thank you very much.
