AS plugin works fine now: it filters correctly spam moving them to the junk folder.

But it happens sometimes (2 or 3 times per day) that certain spam mails (that are recognized as spam in the log file) appears twice: inside the spam folder but also inside the INBOX!

Why I can see them in 2 different places?

And if I try to mark them as junk manually, they disappear from the INBOX a few seconds and them appear there again...

Any idea? Thanks

It looks like a synchronization issue in TheBat for the classified spam moved to junk folder. Try to refresh the messages in TheBat folder.

Refreshing doesn't solve the problem but I noticed (reading the logs) that this happens only with e-mails addresses that are black-listed not with normal AS filtering of spams

Any idea?

The plug-in moves all classified spam similarly: copies the message to junk IMAP mail folder and marks the message as deleted in original IMAP folder. If some classified spam messages are not moved or not deleted, apparently there is an issue on the server or with TheBat synchronization.

This is quite strange. Very often (at least 10 spams per day) some mails stay on two folders: the inbox and the junk folder.

I tried to refresh, compact, purge, repair all the folders of the account but I always have this bug...

Some spams are correctly detected as spam. They are moved to the junk folder but they also remain on the Inbox folder...

This is quite strange and I don't think it's a problem of gmail imap or of The Bat

Any idea?

Just noticed that this happen also on others gmail accounts (different of the previous one).

I would like also to add that the duplicated messages, are marked as "read" even when I don't have read them on the Inbox folder.

I know that your plugin mark as read the spams moved to the Junk folder.
But in this case also the spams duplicated on the Inbox are marked as read

It's like if The Bat instead of moving mails to the Junk folder just copy them to the Junk folder...

At the beginning only a few spams had this problem but not a lot of them: it's increasing

For IMAP protocol the plugin copies the classified spam to Junk folder, then marks the copied message as deleted. It is possible that the second command fails. It can be an issue with IMAP server settings with deletion of messages. Or the messages are marked correctly, but not deleted from TheBat folders because of an issue with synchronization.

There is something I should check on the Imap fine tune of The Bat? Some options like "idle" comand or others? In my case "re-send idle command each 30 seconds" is selected.

Or perhaps the deletion options on the "mail management" tab of the account? In my case, I have:

- for normal deletion ---> "move messages to trash folder"

- for alternative deletion ---> "mark as deleted, do not use trash folder"

And "use alternative deletion method for purging folder" is selected and also "mark deleted messages as read"

I also checked the IMAP options of gmail:

When I mark a message in IMAP as deleted -----> Auto-Expunge off - Wait for the client to update the server.

For this feature it's not the default choice which is ---> Auto-Expunge on - Immediately update the server. (default)

Not sure to have never modified it but who knows...

For other options, the defaut choice is selected:

When a message is marked as deleted and expunged from the last visible IMAP folder-----> Archive the message (default)
