I have the problem, that every time installing Sunbelt Firewall (Free Version, former Kerio) AntiSpamSniper stops working for all functions that include filtering spam directly on server (imap) or monitoring/finding new mail-accounts in TheBat.
Deactivating the firewall does not help. Only after deinstalling, ASS works again. Besides the firewall i am running Nod32 antivirus. I would guess that there may be a problem with the winsock or something similar in that Sunbelt prevents ASS from monitoring TheBats network traffic.
Is there anyone running Sunbelt and ASS sucessfully with imap-filtering enabled? |

The plug-in uses port 40000 for filtering TCP connections, on behalf of TheBat process. Both incoming and outgoing connections must be allowed for this port. Also AFAIK Kerio personal firewall includes some smart virus protection features. Try to turn them off. There was a similar problem with the latest versions of ZoneAlarm, which is blocking the transparent filtering in AntispamSniper because of the false positive in one of it's protection modules. |
