Check that the plug-in's base directory exists and has appropriate read/write rights (field "Base directory" on Options page).
If the bug occurs during classifying a particular message, then please send it to support@antispamsniper.com. If any messages cause crashes, then most probably some of the configuration files are damaged. This can be fixed by deleting the files from Base directory. The files will be recreated with default values on next start of the email client. |

Wrong way.
I just solved this problem. TB! crashed because NOD32 (with unload nod32 plugin too). After deinstlation nod32 and install other antivirus TB! with ASS works stable. |

Good news! But anyway, I'd recommend to have a backup of the plug-in configuration files (all files from its base directory). The latest versions use transactional storages, protected from damages after unexpected shutdowns of email client. But there are cases when it doesn't help: disk failures, training mistakes (e.g. when a lot of spam messages were marked as non-spam) and other vis major situations like yours. The plug-in doesn't use system registry and stores all its settings in one folder, so you will be able to restore everything from the backup in case of any permanent issues.
One more word about the training mistakes: the classification database may be repaired by assigning a right class for the messages, i.e. marking as spam the messages mistakenly marked as non-spam. But the overall filtering quality may be a bit lower in case if there were too many mistakes, e.g. > 100 messages with different content. Restoring from backup will repair the database completely. |
