I can get ASS to work on a regular IMAP connection (port 143). It does not work reliably on SSL (993). When I set it up, it checked the mail currently in the inbox, but it will not check new mail every time. On startup, it occasionaly hangs with "Getting number of messages...". Using 2.0.0.3 |

Unfortunately the plug-in doesn?t support filtering the secured IMAP connections. |

Well that explains that.... I knew it was something simple....
That said, the wording in the help file is misleading.
"A list of accounts can be filled manually or automatically, if an option "Add new accounts automatically" is on. In that case the plug-in will analyse the data, transmitted through unprotected POP3 and IMAP connections. The accounts with secured connections (SSL) must be added manually. The plug-in can delete spam using secure connections, but it can't detect the account settings automatically in that case." |

Yes, the last sentence must be read as "The plug-in can delete spam using secure POP3 connections". BTW, on "Filtering IMAP" page there is the following: "Impotant notes: The plug-in filters IMAP only for regular, unprotected connections.".
Thank you for finding the inexactitude. It will be fixed in next versions. |
