Hello,
Apparently, port 40000 is a loopback ? Right? Confusing because, if I launch TheBat with AntispamSniper for the first time, the Windows firewall (Vista) ask to allow or not the Inbound connection. In this case, the port 40000 is open from outside. |

The plug-in uses this port for proxifying the email connections, and the proxy handles only local redirected TCP connections. The connections from unknown sources are dropped immediately, so there is no security risk even if this port is open for the outside network. To protect this port from scanners you can additionally set the scope for the corresponding firewall rule (exception) to allow only local connections. |
