|
|
I am using TheBat! Voyager (latest version) and antispamsniper free version 3.0.0.7.
The plugin I am using for two weeks now. About 100 e-mails arrived during that period (including spam mails).
I keep marking spam mail as junk but the antispam-plugin seems not to work because I keep getting the same viagra and online casino spam mails over and over from the same senders. The antispam plugin seems not to work.
You have the version 3.0.0.9 out.
Do I have to deinstall the version 3.0.0.7 before I install the new version?
Thanks in advance for your help! |

Please check the settings in Voyager for anti-spam plug-ins (Options | Preferences | Anti-spam tab). The checkbox "Move a message to Junk folder if the score is greater than" is disabled by default, and in this case Voyager doesn't move the messages having a high spam ratio to Junk folder. This option must be enabled manually.

You can install the new versions over any previous, deinstallation is not required. |

Thank you very much for the very fast reply!
I will make this change you described in the settings. That is probably why I thought antispamsniper isn't working, because it didn't recognize the same spam over and over or at least didn't do anything with it!
If I test the Pro version for 30 days, can I later go back to the free version by installing the free version over the pro?
But maybe the free version is doing a good enough job..
Thanks very much for your help!

Yes. Both editions use the same configuration files, and all your settings in version Pro will remain in Free version. |

But if I test the Pro Version will it cause any problems if I install the free version over the Pro after the testing period, or can I just leave the Pro version where it is but with limited functionality after 30 days? |

Version Pro stops filtering spam after expiration of evaluation period. |
