I had to do a full system restore on my main workstation and
reinstalled The Bat. The data is not in the program files directory;
I prefer to keep in a localized are for easier backup/recovery.

Anyway, Now that I re-installed and The Bat email is restored, I can't
seem to get the SpamSniper to configure. It keeps trying to look in
the program files folder for \TheBat\MAIL\Antispamsniper\ or somesuch.
I have tried over and over to change it, re-installed the program a
dozen times, but it continues to point to the wrong folder
(non-existant).

Can you tell me what the expected location can be? I have installed
the program but am unclear where I can have the data. Somehow it had
worked before, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how.

Ok, so I uninstalled antispamsniper again. I re-installed and pointed to my The Bat data folder where I created a subfolder \antispamsniper\. Install seemed to go fine.

When I try to point to the tbp object, The Bat says that it couldn't initialize the plug in.

By default the plug-in uses the folder MAIL\AntispamSniper, where MAIL is TheBat mail directory. The path to mail directory is specified in TheBat settings (Preferences | System | Mail Directory). Make sure that it points to right location. It is possible to change the path to configuration folder in plug-in settings, on Options tab. If it cannot be changed for some reason (e.g. insufficient access rights to folders), create a text file antispamsniper.dir in the plug-in installation folder (where antispamsniper.tbp is installed) with one string - full path to configuration folder for the plug-in, then restart TheBat.

The most probable reason of the initialization problem above is that you are trying to add tbp file before the previous instance of the plug-in is fully unloaded. For resolving this problem press OK in TheBat preferences window after deinstalling the plug-in, then open this window again and add antispamsniper.tbp.
