Hello,

I have the following problem.

I am using TheBat 8.8.9.
I'm connecting to the mail server via IMAP. (SSL)

Without AntiSpamSniper everything works fine.
As soon as I install AntiSpamSniper and add it to the user settings (Filter SSL protected connections is activated), I get the following error message when connecting.

!20.08.2019, 10:35:36: IMAP - TLS handshake error. Invalid server certificate. The certificate or a certificate in the certificate chain does not have a valid signature. The certificate or certificate chain comes from an untrusted source.

Without AntiSpamSniper the certificate will work fine. It was also imported in TheBat in the address book as a Windows certificate and is displayed as its own certificate.

Does anyone have any idea why it might fail?

It is necessary to install in TheBat root certificate as described here:

thanks, that's how it worked now.
theBat connects now.

The next problem is now, as soon as I send an email, it takes extremely long (approx. 1 minute) until the sending process starts, although the email is just a few bytes Sad

It looks like a delay on the server side. The SMTP port 465 is not filtered by default, unless it is specified in account properties on Accounts tab in plug-in settings. Make sure that you have installed the latest build of the plug-in (3.3.4.2) and there is no port 465 in account settings on Accounts tab.

IMAP over SSL uses port 993 for dedicated connections. Port 465 is used by SMTP over SSL for sending messages. So it is necessary to specify port 993 instead of 465.

It is necessary to check all accounts, not only the IMAP account. In your case the connections to port 465 are filtered, which is not normal.

I am only checking mails from one mail server via imap...

what I just recognized is, that incoming emails are not really checked for spam. Although I have set that emails with value "30" (very low - nearly every email) should be shifted to Junk Sad

The plugin classifies only new unread mail messages. And adds the appropriate information about the classification to filtering log. If the records for all new mail are there, the classification works properly.

well in my antispamsniper filter logs , there are 465 logged files. 3/4 are marked as spam...but only shifted to Junk folder, due to fact of manual classification.

The plug-in moves IMAP messages classified as spam to the junk folder specified on IMAP tab of account settings. If you have changed there something, just delete the account on Accounts tab and close/open the IMAP connection with server. The account will be added automatically with default settings.

Hello,

yes, that's clear to me that the tool should move the spam files to the Junk folder. Unfortunately it doesn't do that for me Sad

My settings are as follows:











Additionally I have the problem that when I write an email and click on "Send", it takes about 1 minute until the email "disappears" and TheBat starts sending the email Sad
