URIBL
URIBL online services list the domains that appear in spam or phishing mails (URI blacklists). The services are accessed via DNS protocol.
The plug-in is checking the domains from message text via list of selected URIBL
services. The messages having blacklisted domains in text are classified as spam.
By default the plug-in doesn't check the domains in messages classified with spam
ratio higher than 80. It is possible to change this limit in URIBL settings. Also
the checking is not applied in case if a message contains more than specified number
of different domains in text.
It is possible to estimate the effectiveness of URIBL services using the counted
statistics:
- Number of hits is the overall number of domains found in the corresponding URIBL.
- Number of false positives is incremented each time when you mark as non-spam a
message with a domain listed in corresponding URIBL.
